The Catalan newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" has published a lengthy report on the obstacles facing Barcelona's officials to complete the contract deal with Marco Ferati, a central Paris Saint Germain player.
The biggest hurdle is Nasser Al-Khalili, the head of the Parisian club, who is currently in Qatar, which is delaying direct negotiations both between him and Ferati, or Josep María Bartolomeo, president of the Barcelona club, the newspaper said in its report.
At present, the Barsa administration has merely asked Ferati to speak with the new sporting director of Paris St. Germain, and to press for approval of the deal, she said.
She stated that the Al-Khalili tended not to compromise Marco Ferati, so that the door would not open to other stars to demand departure with the arrival of tempting offers, such as Markinius, who the club's administration has also refused to move to Barcelona last year, as does the case of Ankhil de María, Adrian Rabo and Blaise Matidi, who is of interest to the Juventus club.
She also stated that the abandonment of Ferati would upset Edinson Kavani Najm and Paris Saint Germain scorer, who agreed to extend his contract, after he had received a promise from the club management to form a strong team and not to leave any of the basic pillars.
Paris St. Germain officials are stalling in the negotiations until the al-Khalili returns from Qatar, pending the position of Marco Ferati from joining the team camp on July 4, other than demanding an impossible amount to complete the transaction amounting to 100 million euros.
